Hygiene and Cleanliness in water slides
Just like any other water sports or water activity, water slides are also prone to hygiene concerns. Many illnesses and germs spread easily through water. Unless proper care is taken, your pool might end up as a pool of Recreations Water Illnesses or RWIs.
Hygiene is a major issue with water slides. Contaminated pool water is a major health threat. Kids are more vulnerable to contaminated water. And coming into continuous contact with contaminated for prolonged hours would make them extremely sick. But proper maintainance and due care can reduce the health risks associated with water slides.
Extreme care should be taken to filter and purify the water used for a water slide. Note that even if you use pure water initially, the water becomes dirty after continuous use. The water used in a water slide needs to be changed at frequent intervals.
You should also make sure that the kids do not take water into their mouth or swallow the water. Also make sure that kids do not spit or pass urine in the water. Proper awareness regarding this should be given to your kids before they enter the water slide.
Make sure that the kids take proper bath and clean themself before entering the pool or water slides.
